Dyslexia & Dysgraphia Intervention Program
Empowering learners with structured, multisensory support
At The Developing Child Centre (TDCC), we believe that every individual has the potential to thrive when equipped with the right tools and strategies. Our Dyslexia and Dysgraphia Intervention Program is designed to support children and adults who experience persistent difficulties with reading, spelling, and written expression due to specific learning disorders.
Through evidence-based and multisensory approaches, this intervention aims to improve foundational literacy skills, boost confidence, and foster academic independence.
Intervention Target Group
- Children and adults formally diagnosed with Dyslexia or Dysgraphia
- Age Group: 6 years and above
- Sessions are delivered one-on-one or in small group settings
- Onsite sessions are available for both group and individual instruction
- Online sessions are available for one-to-one instruction only
Structure of Service
Our program aligns with the academic calendar and is delivered in three structured phases across the school year:
- Phase 1: September – December
- Phase 2: January – March
- Phase 3: April – June
Each phase includes:
- 24 sessions per phase
- 2 sessions per week
- Each session is 1.5 hours
This consistent and focused structure ensures that learners receive adequate practice, repetition, and reinforcement of skills over time.
Intervention Areas of Focus
We draw from internationally recognized, research-backed programs tailored to address the specific challenges associated with dyslexia and dysgraphia:
- Reading
- Spelling
- Written Expression
- Handwriting
- Sentence formation
- Paragraph writing
- Essay composition
Our intervention programs integrate auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning pathways to strengthen reading fluency, spelling accuracy, and writing organization.
Baseline and Progress Monitoring
To personalize each learner’s journey, the program begins with a comprehensive baseline assessment:
- Baseline Scores are gathered from an existing Psycho-Educational Report or through an in-house screening assessment
- Progress Reviews are conducted at the end of each phase
- Assessment tools include:
- WRAT-5 (Wide Range Achievement Test)
- WJ IV (Woodcock Johnson IV)
These tools are used interchangeably to reduce the practice effect and accurately monitor progress across sessions.
Our Commitment
TDCC is committed to delivering high-quality intervention that addresses the root of learning difficulties. Whether onsite or online, our program is delivered by trained specialists who understand the unique learning profiles of individuals with dyslexia and dysgraphia. We work closely with families and schools to ensure that progress in the intervention translates to meaningful improvements in the classroom and daily life.
