Occupational Therapist

Risa Rufus is an accomplished Occupational Therapist, bringing over six years of rich professional experience to The Developing Child Center. A graduate in Occupational Therapy from SRM University, India, in 2018. Risa also holds a prestigious US Certification in Ayres Sensory Integration (CLASI), augmenting her expertise in developmental therapies.

Throughout her career, Risa has developed a profound understanding of various developmental concerns, including sensory processing disorders, motor skill delays, and visual-motor challenges. Her work is characterized by a personalized approach, employing a repertoire of evidence-based therapeutic tools and strategies to meet the unique developmental needs of each child at TDCC.

At TDCC, Risa works closely with parents and educators, specialists and fellow therapists upholding bespoke evidence-based therapeutic tools, strategies and approaches to support children with their specific developmental requirements.

What truly drives Risa is her passion for working with children and their families. She finds immense fulfillment in witnessing the children under her care reach their developmental milestones.
