Dr. Raghida Achkar is a seasoned Neuro Paediatric Occupational Therapist with more than 20 years of experience in handling successfully paediatric, orthopaedic, and other neurological conditions as well as autistic children and children with learning difficulties across the middle east region ranging from 1 month to 18 years old. Dr. Raghida completed her Professional Doctorate Occupational Therapy at North Central College in 2020. She graduated with honours for the degree in Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at the Lebanese University and Rennes University Paris in 2001. Dr. Raghida is a PhD Candidate in Neuro Occupational Therapy at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. She is fluent in Arabic, English and French languages.
Dr. Raghida has worked extensively in areas of Therapeutic Rehabilitation Interventions. Among her past work experience include her being a Senior Consultant for pedagogical and rehabilitation projects for international organizations, regional and local ones, partnering with schools and doctors for early intervention diagnosis. She especially focuses on various multi-specialty such as assessment, parent training and education. Dr. Raghida has many lines of expertise and to mention a few, these are the NDT Bobath; BOT-2; Sensory Integration Approach; Learning & Early Interventions; Educational & School Based Therapies; Joint & Visual Attention Therapy; Behavioural Management Therapy; Therasuit; Spider Cage; Pulley System; Gait Training; Gait Connections; and Galileo Therapy.
Dr. Raghida is well grounded with evidence-based innovative approaches when it comes to neuro paediatric occupational therapy. She has a rich accomplishment in various training and certifications such as the ADOS2 International, the Cortical/Cerebral Visual Impairment, Dysgraphia 101, Primitive Reflex Integration (PESI), the L’Approche Snoezelen NLP- Neuro-Linguistic Programming Level1, and the American Treatment Method Intensive Therasuit Program & Cage Therapy.
