Badar Jehan was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi, Pakistan, in 2013. She holds certifications in Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing (SIPT), SCERTS (Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, and Transactional Support), and DIR Floortime 101 (Developmental, Individual Difference, Relationship-based).
Badar has over ten years of experience working within special needs schools and rehabilitation centers, where she has employed a holistic approach. Her extensive experience spans both inclusive school settings and private practice. She has worked with children presenting a wide range of medical conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, sensory processing dysfunction, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Williams syndrome, neurological impairments, developmental delays, and handwriting challenges.
Badar has a particular interest in applying evidence-based therapeutic approaches that blend sensory-motor, perceptual-motor, functional, and specific skill training, as well as cognitive strategies. Her approach has helped many children of determination succeed in unlocking their potential.
At TDCC, Badar works closely with parents, educators, fellow therapists, and practitioners to support children with learning challenges. She is passionate about professional growth and collaboration, and she enjoys working with team members and key individuals in a child’s life to help them achieve functional growth in all aspects of daily living.
