Megha Moncy is a dedicated educator with over two and a half years of experience supporting children with diverse learning and developmental needs across school and child development settings in the UAE and India. She holds a B.Ed. in Special Education (Intellectual Disability) from St. John of God College of Special Education, India, a BSc in Psychology from Trikaripur Arts and Science College, India, and a D.Ed. in Special Education (Intellectual Disability) from Jeevoday College of Special Education, India. Her academic training reflects her strong preparation in understanding developmental, behavioral, and educational needs in children requiring specialized support. She has also completed AHA Basic Life Support training, further strengthening her readiness to support children through safe, responsive, and professional practice.
Throughout her professional experience, Megha has worked with children presenting with developmental delays, ADHD, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities. She has conducted developmental and educational assessments, supported individualized goal setting, and delivered one-to-one and small-group intervention sessions tailored to each child’s functional and academic abilities. Her work has included supporting school readiness, pre-academic development, behavior regulation, and social skills, with careful attention to each child’s pace and profile.
Megha is experienced in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and has also supported the implementation of Individualized Accommodation Plans (IAPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). In her school-based roles, she has adapted lesson plans, classroom activities, and assessment materials to accommodate individual learning needs, while providing one-to-one and in-class support to help students access the curriculum effectively. She has contributed to inclusive education through both push-in and pull-out models, working closely with class teachers to strengthen participation and learning outcomes for students with additional needs.
