Mae Barcelo holds a Bachelor in Elementary Education, Generalist Major from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Philippines. Mae brings over five years of experience in supporting children with diverse learning needs across both general and inclusive settings.
Dedicated to ongoing professional growth, Mae has pursued extensive training in areas such as Specialised Programmes of Support for Students of Determination, Positive Behavior Training (Team Teach), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, Making Sense of Autism, and Selective Mutism. She is also certified in Paediatric and Emergency First Aid with AED use, Basic Fire Safety, and has completed multiple inclusive education workshops under the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).
Mae’s expertise lies in providing individualized and small-group support, implementing positive reinforcement strategies, progress monitoring, and assisting in the creation and delivery of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). She is skilled in classroom support, behavioral modelling, and fostering effective communication skills in children. With her patient, empathetic, and flexible approach, Mae consistently motivates students to build confidence, overcome challenges, and reach their fullest potential.
