Maria Cristy Muncada holds a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Brethren Evangelical School of Theology. She also finished a course in Associate in Computer Technology from the Institute of Creative Computer Technology in 2009.
Maria Cristy’s passion for education developed early in life as she has been exposed to early childhood teaching her whole life as her parents are both educators who manage a preschool setting in the Philippines. Marie Cristy spent time working as the Music Teacher in an early years setting here in UAE before focusing her attention on supporting children of determination by taking on the role of assistant educator for special needs children.
Marie Cristy is committed to using evidence-based approaches that combine fun, engaging activities every single day that foster a love of learning and a positive self-image in each child. She ensures that there is a perfect blend of child-initiated and teacher-directed approaches to achieve the goals set for every child. She incorporates her love of music into everyday teaching combining the use of guitar, piano and drums to make lessons engaging and interactive.
Maria Cristy works closely with parents, fellow educators, therapists, and supervisors at TDCC in the implementation of IEPs for every child through the use of evidence-based approaches. Seasoned with teaching experience, committed to every task and generous of her love and compassion to children, Maria Cristy embraces multidimensional teaching strategies to connect with and accommodate all children with diverse learning requirements.
Maria Cristy believes that being an educator is a vocation and being able to support children’s progress in all areas of their development – communication, social and academic is a privilege.
