Mayssoun Jaber is a highly accomplished Head of Speech and Language Therapy with over 25 years of distinguished service in healthcare and education. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Therapy from the Lebanese University, where her thesis on Dysorthographia in the Arabic Language was awarded an excellent distinction. She is an ASHA International Affiliate Member SIG 14 and the Co-Founder of the Emirates Speech Language Pathology Society and its Cultural Committee Chairperson- Media and International Relations.
Over the course of her career, Mayssoun has gained extensive experience across both general and specialized settings, including early intervention, school-based therapy, and clinical management. She has successfully led speech and language therapy departments, managed multidisciplinary teams, and implemented policies that meet international standards of care.
Known for her ability to build high-performing teams, she has consistently gone beyond therapy delivery to mentor and supervise therapists, foster collaboration with schools, and work closely with government and community entities to ensure inclusive and effective services.
Fluent in Arabic, English and French, Mayssoun brings a multicultural and multilingual approach to therapy. Dedicated to professional growth, Mayssoun has pursued advanced training in a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including the HANEN program, ADOS-2, SOS, Oral Placement Therapy, DIR Floortime, and Makaton. This breadth of expertise enables her to provide comprehensive support to children with speech and language disorders, phonological and articulation challenges, feeding difficulties, dyslexia, and complex developmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome.
Her leadership and commitment to excellence have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Al Nukhba Award by the Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau and the Passion Award for clinical dedication. At TDCC, Mayssoun brings this wealth of expertise and passion to advance inclusive, evidence-based practices that empower children to achieve their fullest potential while providing families with the guidance and support they need on their developmental journey.
