Sasha attained a Diploma in Bachelor of Elementary Education – Major in Special Education at Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan and is a Licensed Professional Teacher in the Philippines.
A Special Educator and Inclusion teacher for the past eight years Sasha has worked with students with a range of needs: behavioral, learning differences, and difficulties, as well as with Down Syndrome. Before joining TDCC, Sasha was a Senior Special Educator at the Dubai Down Syndrome Centre in Dubai, UAE. She has worked with children with Down’s Syndrome as well as the Autism Spectrum. Her role included assessing students and tracking their progress and goals. She helped to determine their educational needs and promote independent learning. She collaborated with specialists, parents, and caregivers to ensure positive progress for every student.
A believer in professional development and growth Sasha has attended seminars and training courses such as ICDL-DIR101 Floortime: The Developmental, Individual Difference, Relationship-based, as well as (SCERTS) Social Communication Emotional Regulation Transactional Support Model 1 and 2 framework guide priorities for learners with autism and social-emotional learning differences to further develop her understanding of behavioral approaches in handling children and individuals and their spaces.
Sasha has successfully developed an Inclusion Program that integrated children with learning needs and differences into the mainstream environment.
