About the Speaker:

Understanding Learning Difficulties Through a Psychomotor Approach 4Rita Bassil Kedemos is a Senior Psychomotor Therapist at The Developing Child Centre with over 20 years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience across Lebanon, France, and the UAE. She holds a French State Diploma in Psychomotricity from Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris VI – La Sorbonne, along with advanced degrees in Psychomotricity from Saint Joseph University, Faculty of Medicine, Beirut.

Rita has worked across clinical, educational, psychiatric, and rehabilitation settings, supporting children and adults with developmental, sensory-motor, emotional, neurological, and learning-related needs. Her expertise includes early intervention, learning difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions, emotional regulation, body awareness, motor planning, and psychomotor assessment and intervention.

In addition to her clinical work, Rita has held academic and leadership roles, including serving as a university lecturer, internship coordinator, clinical supervisor, and Director of a Medical Psychopedagogical NGO. At TDCC, she works within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, child-centered support that strengthens movement, regulation, confidence, participation, and overall well-being.
