Emy Preskilla is a compassionate Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor’s degree from SRM College of Occupational Therapy, Kattankulathur, where she developed a strong academic and clinical foundation in pediatric and adult rehabilitation. In addition to her undergraduate education, Emy has pursued extensive professional development through multiple workshops and conferences focused on Autism, ADHD, and specialized certifications in mental health, particularly in cognitive and executive functioning.
Her practice spans a wide range of clinical settings, including work with children presenting with developmental and behavioral challenges, elderly clients in aged care facilities, and individuals recovering from substance dependence. Through this exposure, she has cultivated expertise in comprehensive assessment and therapy planning, mental health and psychosocial support, pediatric skill development and early intervention, community outreach for elderly care and addiction support, as well as caregiver coaching and inter-professional collaboration. Her holistic approach reflects a deep understanding of the interconnected nature of functional, emotional, and social well-being.
Emy’s professional growth is marked by continuous learning and a commitment to best practices. She has actively participated in national and international conferences, including the 60th Annual AIOTA Conference, where she was honored with the Vijay Supple Award for best scientific paper in mental health. Her specialized training includes Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Cognitive Rehabilitation, and Forensic Mental Health, and she is also certified in phonics-based instruction to support early learning and communication.
A life member of the All India Occupational Therapist Association (AIOTA), Emy holds an HCPC license in the UK.
