Carmela Jade Ebdani

Carmela Jade Ebdani holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology with Management from Heriot-Watt University Dubai, which has equipped her with a solid foundation in understanding child development and the unique needs of children with diverse learning abilities. She also holds a certification in Psychological First Aid, enabling her to provide immediate and appropriate support to children facing emotional or psychological distress.

As an inclusion advocate, Carmela brings her expertise in promoting inclusivity and ensuring that every child’s individual needs are met. She believes in creating an environment that fosters acceptance, respect, and understanding for children of all abilities.

Carmela’s experience in the field includes internships and engagement at nurseries and children’s centers, where she has gained valuable hands-on experience working with children facing various learning challenges and developmental delays. This experience has provided her with the skills and knowledge to adapt her teaching methods and approaches to suit the unique needs of each child.

At TDCC, Carmela collaborates and works effectively with parents, educators, supervisors, and therapists. She recognizes the importance of open communication and collaboration to ensure that the child’s educational and developmental goals are met. Her musical skills with the guitar and ukulele provide an additional avenue for incorporating music therapy into the learning experience. Carmela’s adaptability is a key attribute that allows her to thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing classroom environment.  She understands that each child is unique, and she is committed to providing personalized support and encouragement to help them reach their full potential.

Carmela is a dedicated and compassionate classroom assistant staff at The Developing Child Centre. With a strong educational background and a passion for helping children with learning challenges and developmental delays, Carmela is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for every child in her care.
