Joseph Sentamu

Joseph Sentamu is a dedicated and passionate ABA Therapist at The Developing Child Centre (TDCC), bringing over seven years of hands-on experience supporting children with diverse developmental and behavioral needs. His professional journey reflects a strong progression from Learning Support Assistant to a clinically focused behavioral therapy role, grounded in evidence-based practice and child-centered care.

Joseph holds a Diploma in Special Educational Needs and is credentialed as an Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) through the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board. He is also a certified International Behavior Therapist (IBT) under the International Behavior Analysis Organization.

His academic background is complemented by additional training in first aid and a diploma in arts and design, supporting a well-rounded, creative, and practical approach to intervention.

In his role as an ABA Therapist at TDCC, Joseph works closely under clinical supervision to implement individualized behavior intervention programs, support skill acquisition, and promote positive behavioral change across home, school, and therapeutic settings. He has extensive experience supporting children with ADHD and other developmental and behavioral challenges, applying structured ABA strategies, data-driven decision-making, and consistent reinforcement techniques to support learning, regulation, and functional independence.

Joseph is known for his calm, patient, and empathetic approach, as well as his strong collaboration with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams. He actively contributes to the development and implementation of individualized plans, monitors progress, and ensures interventions are aligned with each child’s goals and strengths.
