Houssem Hassini

Houssem Hassini is a distinguished educator with over 11 years of experience in physical education, specialized therapy, and inclusive education services. He finished his bachelor degree in Science and Technology of Sport and Physical Activities from the University of Sfax,  Higher Institute of Sports & Physical Education of Sfax, Tunisia in 2013. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in DEJEPS ( The Higher State Diploma in Youth, Popular Education and Sports, (Special needs sport and fencing ) in INSEP Paris, France. With a robust background as a Physical Education Teacher, Special Olympics Coach, and ABA Therapist, Houssem has dedicated his career to fostering physical development, promoting healthy habits, and ensuring an inclusive environment for people of all abilities.

His expertise in organizing physical activities, programs, and games has been instrumental in strengthening students’ fitness and stamina while catering to various age and ability levels. Houssem’s approach integrates fun, interactive exercises that not only enhance physical health but also encourage team building and student cohesion. His commitment to inclusive education is evident in his ability to adapt and develop targeted plans for students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.

Houssem’s qualifications extend to delivering special presentations on physical health, nutrition, diet, and emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach to health and well-being. His use of Applied Behavioral Analysis techniques has notably improved communication skills, attention, focus, social skills, memory, and academics among children diagnosed with autism.

As a certified coach, Houssem has led sports teams and classes in over 14 sports, including swimming, tennis, basketball, and yoga, demonstrating his versatility and dedication to promoting physical activity across various disciplines. His linguistic proficiency in Arabic, French, and English has further enabled him to communicate effectively with a broad range of students, parents, and colleagues.

Throughout his career, Houssem has served in multiple capacities, from being an assistant teacher for special needs at an international school to leading sports and training at a rehabilitation resort. His volunteer work as a Child Protection Coordinator in sports clubs underscores his commitment to child welfare and community development.
