Amineh Abou Housse

Educational Psychologist/ Head of Early Intervention Services

Amineh Abou Housse is an accomplished educational psychologist with a strong academic background and a commitment to excellence. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Tests and Measurement from the American University of Beirut (AUB), where she graduated with the highest academic honors and received several prestigious awards, including the Excellence Award in Special Education, the Educator’s Award in the Education Department, and the Jack & Hoda Afram Manok Endowed Award for graduating with the highest GPA in her department. Additionally, Amineh earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Mathematics and Science Education, as well as a Diploma in Special Education with a focus on Learning Disabilities, both from AUB. She is currently pursuing her second Master’s degree in Educational Assessment from Middlesex University, London. However, she has completed the Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing (CCET) from Middlesex University, Real Training, UK.

With over 5 years of dedicated experience in educational psychology and early intervention, Amineh has gained extensive experience across public and private schools as well as in center settings. She has held diverse roles, including Inclusion Teacher, Behavioral Lead, and Head of Inclusion, all of which bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her current position as the Head of the Early Intervention Program at TDCC. Her work is deeply rooted in TDCC’s mission to provide inclusive, child-centered services that support the holistic development of children with developmental and learning challenges.

Amineh’s extensive experience includes conducting comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify and address the unique needs of each child. She is skilled in administering a wide range of psychological tests that measure cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning, allowing her to develop tailored intervention plans that align with each child’s strengths and areas of need.

At TDCC, Amineh plays a pivotal role in overseeing the Early Intervention Program, ensuring that it is both evidence-based and aligned with the latest advancements in neurodevelopmental research. Her expertise extends beyond traditional educational settings; she is a seasoned practitioner in creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and other learning and development plans that cater to the diverse needs of children at TDCC.

Amineh’s approach is characterized by her commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where every child is empowered to reach their full potential. She collaborates closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams at TDCC to ensure that all interventions are comprehensive, effective, and designed to promote positive outcomes for children with a range of developmental challenges, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), and other neurodevelopmental disorders.

Her work at TDCC reflects her passion for inclusive education and her dedication to developing well-rounded learners equipped with the skills needed to thrive in a supportive and inclusive society. Amineh is a driving force behind the center’s commitment to excellence in early intervention, helping to shape the futures of the children under her care through innovative, compassionate, and effective educational practices.
