After spearheading an initiative to bring Arrowsmith to schools in Sydney’s Catholic Education Office where she was Head of Diverse Learning, Debbie joined Arrowsmith as Executive Director.  Since 2013 she has been leading the strategic growth and development of Arrowsmith, and every day speaks to educational leaders about the power and potential that cognitive programming can have in deepening life long learning experiences. TDCC at Dubai Social Care Standards Training for People of Determination

TDCC proudly participated in the recent training organized by the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai. This important three-day event, held at the HYDE Hotel in Business Bay, brought together social care providers from across the emirate to advance standards for social care tailored to People of Determination. 

The workshop focused on training participants in the Dubai Social Care Standards for People of Determination, as part of CDA’s ongoing efforts to elevate the quality of social care services, in alignment with the Executive Council Resolution (9) of 2015. This resolution mandates CDA to regulate and ensure high standards of social care across Dubai, ultimately aiming to improve the lives of People of Determination.

All participants engaged in an intensive training program designed to equip social care providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement these quality standards effectively. The sessions covered best practices for supporting individuals with diverse needs, conducting assessments, and applying the standards in real-world settings. On the final day, participants received certificates recognizing their successful completion of this comprehensive training.

At TDCC, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, inclusive education and social care services. Our participation in this workshop reinforces our commitment to these goals and aligns with Dubai’s vision for a compassionate, inclusive society.

She specializes in working with children and teenagers, particularly in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dysfluency (Stuttering), Developmental Language Disorder and Learning Challenges. Joa provides online Therapy services. She uses evidence-based techniques with children and teenagers, she also coaches parents and educational teams on implementing effective strategies at home and school.
