About the Speaker

Every Child Deserves a Strong Start- Preparing Children for a New School Year 4Refah Fares is an Educator and Social Worker with over ten years of experience supporting children, youth, and families across mainstream classrooms and community settings. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Calgary and a Social Work Diploma from Mount Royal University.

Her expertise includes inclusive education, individualized learning support, IEP implementation, classroom engagement and behavior support, social-emotional development, child protection, case management, and family-centered practice. At TDCC, Refah works collaboratively with educators, therapists, and parents to individualize support, promote participation, and help children progress toward their academic and social-emotional goals.
