Behavioral Therapy (ABA)
What is ABA?
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) uses proven, evidence-based principles of learning to teach children practical, everyday skills and to replace challenging behaviour with more positive, appropriate alternatives. ABA therapy combines assessment, regular progress tracking, direct therapy and parent training. At TDCC Abu Dhabi, our ABA therapy aims to support your child’s development and quality of life by helping them engage with the world more independently.
ABA can be delivered through structured teaching as well as natural, play-based learning, and covers a wide range of skills. Our Abu Dhabi team can provide ABA therapy at our centre, at home, out in the community, or at your child’s nursery or school. Every ABA programme is supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Case Manager.
One-to-one ABA sessions are delivered by a trained Behaviour Therapist, who builds your child’s interests and motivation into activities designed to teach new skills. At the same time, the therapist addresses any behaviours that may be slowing your child’s progress.
Our ABA specialists create individual programmes to develop skills in:
