ABA Program
The ABA Intensive Programme at TDCC Abu Dhabi is for children who need a highly individualised, targeted approach to learning. Every child is assessed when they join, so we can decide how many hours of therapy they need and set clear goals for their programme. Programmes range from 10 to 30 hours per week.
Every programme is supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), who works closely with our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to deliver a programme designed specifically for your child. You’ll be in regular contact with both your child’s therapists and the BCBA, so you can follow your child’s progress closely.
Each child’s programme is different, but every ABA programme at TDCC Abu Dhabi shares some key features:
- The programme is built on a detailed assessment of your child’s skills and preferences, as well as your family’s goals
- Teaching and goals are matched to your child’s stage of development and cover a wide range of skills, including social interaction, communication, play, self-care, leisure, academic and motor skills
- Goals focus on skills that help your child become more independent and successful, both now and in the future
- Skills are broken down into smaller steps and taught gradually, from the simplest to the more complex
- Your child’s progress is measured objectively and continuously
- The team reviews your child’s progress and data regularly, and adjusts the programme based on the evidence
- Regular meetings between your family and our team allow us to plan together, review progress and make any changes needed
- Therapists use a range of evidence-based behaviour analytic techniques
At TDCC Abu Dhabi, sessions combine planned teaching with learning that happens naturally during everyday activities. Practising skills in different situations helps children learn them faster and more securely.
This also helps your child use the skills they learn with us in their everyday life. We also train and support families so that skills carry over into home and community settings.
Our ABA Intensive Programme supports children with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Learning difficulties
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Down syndrome
- Cerebral palsy
- Other developmental conditions
