Tele-psychology
Our online psychology services, including assessments, make support accessible for families who live further away or find it difficult to attend appointments in person. Whether you’re based in Al Ain, Al Dhafra or elsewhere in the emirate, or simply juggling a busy schedule, remote sessions mean your child can still get the support they need. Online services also allow care to continue during times when travel or face-to-face contact is restricted.
To deliver services remotely, our Abu Dhabi clinicians use a combination of:
- Telehealth appointments (by video call, such as Zoom, or by phone) for initial interviews and feedback sessions. Conversations with others involved in your child’s care, such as teachers, take place by phone.
- Online assessment tools: some assessments can be completed remotely. Our assessors guide you through each step so they are completed confidentially and in line with professional testing standards.
- Questionnaires to complete at home: rating forms that are usually handed out at the clinic will be sent to you by email.
- Some assessments can’t be completed online. For those, our psychology team will agree a plan with you that may include a school visit, a home visit or an appointment at our Abu Dhabi centre, depending on your situation. We’ll talk this through with you during your initial phone consultation.
