Toqa obtained her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy in 2015 from Jordan University of Science and Technology. She has a certificate in sensory integration from the University of Southern California, USA.
Toqa is well trained in pediatric assessments, practice protocols and has received training in reflexology and assistive technology. She has six years of experience between Jordan and the UAE has worked in different settings ranging from private and governmental centers as well as school-based centers. She has worked with children with developmental disabilities, sensory integration disorders, autism, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, and visual perceptual issues.
Toqa is keen on professional development and keeping up with research and protocols within the field of occupational therapy. She regularly attends workshops and conferences.
Toqa believes that loving children unconditionally, accepting them, and respecting their needs is the basis and starting point for a good therapeutic relationship.
