Leonila Miraflor holds a degree of Bachelor of Science Major in Special Education and graduated cum laude at Ateneo de Naga University in 2018. Her early exposure to teaching began in a public special education centre and she received her license as a professional teacher in the same year she graduated. She is currently pursuing post graduate study in Master of Education Major in Special Education at the University of Nueva Caceres.
Leonila has worked in various inclusive institutions in the Philippines and across the UAE. Her rich experience in the field of special education being a Kindergarten and Inclusive Educator has made her a competent SEN teacher. She has been commended and appreciated for applying positive and encouraging classroom environments. At TDCC, she works hand in hand with parents, educators, therapists, supervisors, and specialists and takes part in a community that supports all the possibilities and potential of every child using bespoke evidenced-based interventions.
Teaching is a vocation for Leonila. With knowledge of Braille System and American Sign Language, Leonila is amenable to meeting the needs of more people from diverse backgrounds. As TDCC believes that no child is left behind, Leonila focuses on giving the utmost attention to develop the best approach to address the specific challenges of each and every child as she supports the creation of IEPs and BIPs for children with special needs. Her expertise in classroom supervision is apparent to all the parents and children, making students comfortable as they face everyday challenges and supporting them to succeed in their developmental milestones.
