Glazer Shemier, affectionately known as Nurse Shem, is a seasoned registered nurse with a specialization in long-term care. A graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of San Jose Recoletos in the Philippines, Shem has amassed over a decade of nursing experience both in her home country and in the UAE.

Renowned for her skill in First Aid and Basic Life Support, Shem’s career has spanned a multitude of healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and public healthcare. She has notably demonstrated her resilience and dedication by providing essential medical services in Covid-19 Response facilities during the pandemic under the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi.

As a Senior Nurse at TDCC, Shem is an affable, standard-driven, and results-oriented professional. Her ten-year track record is highlighted by core competencies tailored to children’s healthcare needs. This includes specialized care in pediatric settings, expertise in gentle medical procedures, child-friendly wound care, attentive post-operation assessment, medication administration with a gentle touch, and a warm approach to home care and general consultation. Her background in various medical environments has been thoughtfully channeled into providing compassionate and appropriate care for children, emphasizing safety, comfort, and understanding. She is confident, committed to excellence, and proficient in Patient Care, Medical Records Keeping, Clinicsoft and Heartbeat software, Medication Administration, and Nursing Care Process.

At TDCC, Shem’s role transcends traditional nursing responsibilities. She actively collaborates with educators, parents, and practitioners to maintain accurate medical records for the children. Her vigilance ensures that the center remains a safe environment, as she stays abreast of new procedures and protocols.
